Read about Important updates to our range of products.
Sunrise Medical 18 months ago introduced a new range of powerchairs the Q-Series with new seating systems. Once products are launched into the market we always ensure that we review any customer feedback, whether this is on the quality of a product or design features which need to be enhanced further.
We consistently review our complaint management system log to understand if there are trends within quality/design feedback from products in the field. As we have been reviewing this we have found a number of cases on the Q700 UP & Q700 Sedeo Ergo, where there is excessive wear on the aluminium guiding plate on the backrest.
Following customer feedback we will be adding a handbrake function on the Trophy as a standard option to provide an extra safety feature for the user.
In September 2019 we introduced a change that allowed us to interface the J3 compact mounting hardware to the JAY Zip backrest shell (TB 0604). This improved the durability of the JAY Zip bracket and allowed it to be retro-fitted with existing products.
Following the successful launch of the Empulse R20, we have received many requests to fit the device onto a wider range of chairs.
In an ongoing effort to improve the design, functionality and performance of our early year’s strollers, the ZIPPIE Voyage, has under gone a design improvement that introduces a new Voyage base. This is to replace the previous Baby Jogger City Select base with a newly, designed for purpose, Zippie Voyage base.
As part of continually commitment to our complex rehab powerchair range we review these products regularly to understand how we can develop these further to enhance the clients experience and to improve the design further.
When designing our Q-Series range of power chairs, customer focus and innovation was at the heart of everything we did. From the very first concept we wanted to produce an innovative range of products that were designed with the prescriber, engineer and client in mind, and solve issues that our customers were facing.
As customers may be aware, we have launched a new family of powerchairs due to this we have seen a significant reduction in demand for some of our legacy products. Therefore, we will be discontinuing the YOU-Q XP from 1st June 2020.
Since the introduction of the Q-Series powerchair range we have endeavoured to ensure that each of these chairs are crash tested with a dock and lock car system to support clients who require these.
With immediate affect the 10 gear grip-shift shifter has been discontinued on the Attitude Manual and Hybrid version.
This is due to the manufacture of this part discontinuing this option. Upon review alternative suppliers unfortunately we have found that there is no short term solution as this requires fundamental changes to the Attitude bike design.
As part of our product review, it has been brought to our attention that on the Breezy Ibis & Puma Family ordering the comfort calf pads can cause confusion, this was due to having to select two options on the order form to receive comfort calf pads:Depth adjustable calf support, PU, set (Y01204) Upholstered calf support, set (only i.c.w. depth adj. calf support PU, set) (Y01658)Therefore on both the Ibis & on the Puma Family with immediate affect we are combining both of these options in to one option, meaning when requiring comfort calf pads you now only need to select Depth adj. calf support, upholstered, set (Y01658).
Reason for ChangeAll of our design updates are driven by customer feedback, to ensure we are always meeting the needs and wants of our users. To achieve this, we have updated the range of tilt we are able to achieve on our MHTHi-Lo base to -5 forward and +35 degrees backward, previously we offered -15 to +25.
At QUICKIE we continually review our products that have been available to understand if we are able to make our product easier to work with and understand for both prescribers and engineers.
After reviewing our internal quality feedback system we have detected a variation in the forward tilt actuator performance in our standing position on the Q700 F and M base.
