Read about Important updates to our range of products.
We continually aim to streamline our product range and to this end with immediate effect we are discontinuing the following products due to extremely low demand:
As part of our continuing commitment to design improvement, we are introducing new innovations to our J3 backrest range to make it even more versatile. These include paediatric options, an expanded range of sizes, an extra deep contour option and full integration with Whitmyer head supports.
Throughout our manual chair range, comfort and quality are two of the core principles that we strive to achieve. With this in mind, we have developed the new Exo Evo backrest upholstery.
With immediate effect, we regret to announce that the unique Special Input Device; the DriveStation control has been discontinued due to our supplier’s stock becoming obsolete. There is no direct replacement however the closest alternative allowing the Special Control to be mount free is the TouchDrive 2.
When improving and developing our product range we are focusing on the features and benefits of the product, but there are also other factors affecting the product’s success. Long lead times have a huge impact on customers and end users; not only delaying the individual component but also the complete chair. Therefore, from Monday 2nd September 2019 we will be moving from the Surge LT hand rims, to the Ellipse 3R versions.
In an aim to streamline our accessory range and due to extremely low orders it is with immediate effect that the Snoll On is discontinued on the Krypton R & F, Helium & Argon2.
Following market surveillance with immediate effect the O2 tank holder accessory (22219093) which is available on the Sterling S-Series has been discontinued.
At Sunrise Medical we strive to continually improve our products, with this in mind we are happy to announce that from September 30th 2019 all Jay Zip Back’s will be shipped with the J3 Compact Mounting Hardware.
We are pleased to announce that following post market surveillance and customer feedback we have implemented a series of design improvements to the JCM Triton Seating System to further improve strength and durability and extend the products life in the field.
Five years ago Sunrise Medical discontinued the JAY Active Cushion, which was replaced with the Jay Xtreme Active, but we have supported spares in the meantime. From 1st September 2019 that will no longer be the case, as we will be extending this discontinuation to the spares also.
Reason for ChangeWhilst the Sunbeam and Triton 0 are already popular products, the lack of a wipe-down material meant that they could not be used in certain situations even though it would suit the client’s needs. This was particularly evident in places where infection control was a huge concern; Hospitals, Schools etc.
At JCM we always strive to offer products that can provide solutions for any child, via the adjustments and modularity that can be achieved throughout our range. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce our new Tray Holder for the Aurora 3-in-1 standing frame coming into effect from the 1st August.
At Sunrise Medical we always endeavour to offer the highest quality products to our customers, and to do this we are constantly reviewing our current range based off both internal and external feedback. To this end we have made a change to the ROHO inflation valve.
At Sunrise Medical we are always looking for ways to develop our products further to offer a higher level of functionality, to overcome challenges that customers face in the field and to streamline our product range when required. Therefore the following technical bulletin contains:
As customers may be aware, we have launched a new family of powerchairs called the Q-Series, due to this we have seen a significant reduction in demand for some of our legacy products. Therefore, we will be discontinuing a number of QUICKIE & YOU-Q products.
