Discontinuation of the MicroPilot joystick Over the past 12 months the supply chain for the MicroPilot joystick has been very inconsistent, which has led to longer lead times, and a lack of clarity on when the product will be available again. We have now been informed that our sub-supplier can no longer source key components for this joystick. Due to a lack of alternative components, we have taken the decision to discontinue the MicroPilot with immediate effect.
Alternative Solutions: Movis Micro Joystick The Movis Micro Joystick is a direct alternative to the Micro Guide, due to its low operating force and movement. Perfect for users with very poor or weak muscle strength and/or limited movements e.g. people with muscular or neuromuscular diseases. • Very Compact Design • Proportional Control • 8 grams Operating Force For more information, please follow this link to the Movis website product page: https://www.mo-vis.com/products/wheelchair-joysticks/micro-joystick Alternative Option - Micro Guide Joystick If you do not wish to use the Movis alternative, then we do offer a similar solution within the existing Switch-It Portfolio. The Micro Guide is a similar size joystick and requires the same amount of force to operate, so may be a suitable alternative for some users. However, the Micro Guide is a force joystick and does not physically move like the Micro Piliot does. For clients that require the sensation and feedback of a joystick, the Micro Guide will not be the best solution.
