With a QUICKIE powerchair you will always be in control of your independence.
QUICKIE’s range of powered wheelchairs feature a range of options to make life easier, including SpiderTracTM suspension for easy kerb climbing, DAHL docking station compatibility so you can drive from your electric chair and the ability to control phones and entertainment systems through your wheelchair.
How to choose the right powered wheelchair
Electric wheelchairs are primarily used by people who have low physical strength or limited mobility of the arms and hands. With powered wheelchairs it is particularly important to determine in which environments the wheelchair will predominantly be used, as some models are better suited to indoor use and other are designed for mostly outdoors. There are also some electric wheelchairs that offer a good mix of indoor/outdoor functionality.
QUICKIE offers a range of powered wheelchair drive base options.
QUICKIE’s rear wheel drive electric wheelchairs, such as the Salsa R2 are very stable during your outdoor travel when driving over uneven terrain, or climbing obstacles. Rear wheel drive powered wheelchairs are intuitive to drive and offer powerful suspension systems, high drive speeds and numerous drive control options.
QUICKIE’s front wheel drive electric wheelchairs, including the Q700 F SEDEO PRO provide a little extra muscle when tackling off-road terrain. Front wheel drive powered wheelchairs provide a smaller turning circle than rear-wheel drive powerchairs so you can achieve tighter cornering for great indoor manoeuvrability. This type of wheelchair has no front castors, keeping your feet closer to your body, so you can get closer to desks and other objects more easily than with other powered wheelchair bases.
QUICKIE mid-wheel drive electric wheelchairs are extremely responsive and have the smallest possible turning radius making this type of powered wheelchairs a great option for indoor manoeuvrability. The sophisticated suspension systems of QUICKIE’s mid-wheel drive powerchairs (many of which include SpiderTracTM technology for easier kerb climbing), wide range of seating systems and numerous drive control options take your independence (both indoors and out) to the next level.
There are also children’s powered wheelchairs available through the Zippie range, as well as the modular powered wheelchairs from You-Q.
Power Assist, such as the F16, is a fantastic option for manual wheelchair users who may experience fatigue when self-propelling but want to maintain the control, functionality and look of a manual wheelchair. A power assist add on extends the distance travelled and the efficiency of propulsion without the additional physical exertion.
