This course provides a robust foundation to get started with programming the most frequently needed parameters on the Sunrise Medical powered wheelchair range. It includes both VR2 and R-net style control systems.
NOTE: Please bring DTT or or laptop with programming software and dongle if your organisation has one available.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, participants will be able to: • Use PC software and hand held programmers confidently • Alter essential programming parameters to optimise drive performance in response to client needs • Diagnose and repair electronic common faults
Intended For: • Sunrise Medical dealers • Occupational Therapists, Rehab Engineers, Clinical Scientists and Physiotherapists providing powered wheelchairs • Field Service Engineers
Course Contents: This is a two-day course designed to look at the different control systems used on the Sunrise Medical powered wheelchair range: Penny and Giles, VR2 and R-net.
Day 1 Course Contents: • VR2 and R-Net overview • Benefits and limitations • What you need: programming software, DTT hand-held programming • How to access and utilise Web IQ: our online programming database • Dealer level programming parameters • How to read fault logs and diagnostics functions
Day 2 Course Contents: Please note, attendance at Day 1 is a mandatory prerequisite to Day 2 • VR2 and R-Net case studies • Hands-on experience with DTT and PC programming • Work in teams and present your work back to the group
