Sunrise Medical is thrilled to announce that the Switch-It Vigo Head Drive has been awarded the prestigious title of "New Product of the Year" at the Scandinavian Health & Rehab Messe 2023 in Denmark. Out of 26 nominated products from 25 companies, we emerged as the winner in this highly competitive category.
The selection process involved an impartial committee of judges comprising representatives from various fields, including healthcare, municipalities, design, innovation, education, and user groups. These experts evaluated the registered products on the first day of the fair. The criteria for winning the "New Product of the Year" award included novelty value, useful features, enhanced quality of life for individual users, and positive impact on the daily lives of users, caregivers, and therapists.
The Vigo Head Drive stood out among the entries, impressing the judges with its innovative design and functionality.
In the notes from the nomination, they said:
“The Vigo Head Drive presents a sleek and discreet design, resembling a standard headset. This design destigmatizes the device, making it appear just like any other headset. Not only does it offer practical functionality, such as the ability to listen to music, but it also transforms the user's head into an intuitive joystick. Furthermore, there is a potential for further development, including the option to calibrate it with other welfare technology devices”.
