To ensure that we are manufacturing products that meet our clients needs, we are constantly reviewing our own product offering as well as reviewing all our product feedback, given to us from both end users, healthcare providers and private dealerships.

The latest developments in our active manual chair range continue this theme, and we are delighted to announce key updates to the QUICKIE Argon 2 and QUICKIE Krypton R.

QUICKIE Argon 2

NEW Ultralight Seat Sling

Following the success of this option on our Nitrum Ultralight, we are now rolling this down to the Quickie Argon 2. This option saves around 350g vs a traditional seat sling, providing a large weight reduction to keep product weight and transport weight as low as possible.

This option will be available to order as standard via the updated order forms, or as a spare part to retrofit to existing chairs.

QUICKIE Krypton R

NEW Aluminium Axle Tube

The Quickie Krypton R is our lightest active user chair that can be as light as 3.65kg lifting weight. Thanks to its carbon fibre frame it is light, durable and stylish and is one of the most popular products in our active manual chair portfolio.

However, due to its carbon fibre construction it has not historically been compatible with powered add-ons such as rear push assist or power assist wheels. The huge growth in power assist devices has meant that the Krypton is often overlooked due to it’s non compatibility.

To address this, we are now introducing an aluminium axle option for the Quickie Krypton R, taken directly from the Nitrum, which will allow users to attached powered add on devices to the Krypton R.

This also has the added benefit of introducing a 6-degree camber option, up from the previous limit of 3 degrees.

This can be ordered as standard with a new chair, or as a spare part to retrofit to existing products.

How to Order

All order forms are currently being updated to include these options, and the will be available to order as a standard tick box option.

Our online spare parts catalogue is also being updated to include these new options.
