Since it’s introduction in 2023, the QUICKIE Q50 R Carbon has set the benchmarking for ultra lightweight folding powered wheelchairs, thanks to its premium styling, tried and tested quality as well as an ultra- light 14.5kg lifting weight.
At Sunrise Medical we don’t stand still, we aim to innovate and develop our products to match our customer’s needs, and to that end we are delighted to introduce our latest improvement to the Q-Series product portfolio: Q50 R Carbon Comfort
New for 2025, the Q50 R Carbon introduces a series of new comfort options, designed to provide a premium comfort experience. Designed by our colleagues at the Helping Hand company, the cushion and backrest provide superior pressure relief and lumbar support for all-day comfort.
Standard Comfort Cushion
From the 21st July 2025, all Q50 R Carbons will be supplied with our Comfort Cushion, Utilising technology from our Helping Hand cushion portfolio, the new Q50 R Carbon comfort cushion provides pressure relieving foam for all day comfort. This comes at no extra cost and is included in the standard specification and standard base price.
Optional Comfort Backrest

For those seeking complete comfort, we are also introducing a new comfort backrest overlay as an optional extra. Comfortable foam shaped to the contours of the backrest, paired with a breathable fabric overlay deliver a comfortable and immersive backrest. This can be ordered complete with the chair, or can be retrofitted as a spare part.
