As part of the launch of the Quickie QS5 X, we introduced fixed configurations to make the product as easy to understand, sell and work with. These configurations have pre-determined specifications so all you need to do is choose a width, depth, and a colour. No hidden no-go’s, no hidden upcharges.
These have been a fantastic success and have changed the way that entry-level manual chairs are being ordered moving forward.
Reason For Change
Since the launch, we have received feedback that the current specifications are not matching the demands from the market, and some key options are often having to be added or amended each time. This adds time and inconvenience when ordering a fixed spec QS5 X.
Product Update
To respond to this market feedback, we have made a few small specification changes across our fixed configuration to better meet the needs of our customers, and to match the market demand.

Customer Benefit
The new castor wheels offer a sleeker, more modern look as well as giving clients the opportunity to choose a colour for the castor wheel, which was only black on the previous version.
The new tyre provides better ride performance and energy efficiency on the core specification.
The new specification does result in a small price increase affecting the two following specifications but does come with the full range of performance improvement as mentioned above.
