TB 0495 S-Series Scooter Improvements

Due to our ongoing product improvement and dealer and user feedback, the following improvements have been implemented on the S-Series Scooter models.
 
Seat slider stop removed
 

  • Issue – Based on dealer/user feedback of reduced seat sliding range on S700, each scooter has been re-tested and passed with the removal of the seat stop, to the current ISO standards.
  • Benefit – Increased seat sliding range of a further +10cm on S700, +1cm on S400/S425 models
  • Models affected – Stop removed from all models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – March 2016. Any existing scooters already in the field can have the seat stop removed.

Removable Front Bumper

  • Issue – Original scooter chassis design had a non-removable front bumper. Design changed to allow removable front bumper and ease of dealer repair.
  • Benefit – Easy replacement of damaged front bumper. New front bumper added to spare parts catalogue.
  • Models affected – Removable front bumper added to all models S400 / S425 / S700.
  • Implemented – March 2016. 

Reversing beep / keypad indicator beep

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback that a reversing beep and beep when indicators are active was requested. Design improved to add this feature.
  • Benefit – Reversing beep and indicator beep enabled for all models.
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – June 2016.

 
Lapbelt length

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback that original lapbelt is too short. Lapbelt is lengthened by 20cm.
  • Benefit – Increased lapbelt adjustment for larger users
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – March 2016.

 
Speed control knob indication

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback that it is difficult to view speed knob position with original design. Speed knob has rib added to top and side to improve visual position.
  • Benefit – Easier user indication of speed position
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – March 2016.

 
Key pad function indicator

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback that it is difficult to view the indicator light on the keypad. Indicator light area increased by 125%.
  • Benefit – Easier visual indication of indicator light on keypad.
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – March 2016.

 
Footrest mats

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback that some early production models had issues with front footpad decals not sticking correctly to front shroud and peeling at corners. Material changed to an improved version with high performance glue.
  • Benefit – Solved issue of footpad peeling.
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – December 2015.

 
Brake release lever (Red button)

  • Issue – Dealer/user feedback on some early production models that rattling noise identified from metal (red button) brake release lever. Material changed to plastic version to eliminate issue.
  • Benefit – Solved potential issue of rattling noise.
  • Models affected – All models S400 / S425 / S700
  • Implemented – November 2015
