This one-day course combines a clinical application of current guidelines, to the assessment of children with powered or manual wheelchair mobility needs. Using case studies and hands-on activities, participants will learn how to meet the needs of the youngest wheelchair users and use key products in the Sunrise Medical Paediatric range.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, participants will be able to: • Demonstrate clinical reasoning in assessment for paediatric mobility equipment and related seating • Understand how to configure self-propel manual mobility for optimal use • Match Sunrise Medical paediatric mobility and related seating products to client needs
Intended For: • Sunrise Medical dealers who hold a Quickie prescriptive account and who are actively involved in paediatric wheelchair prescription • Occupational therapists, rehab engineers, physiotherapists and clinical scientists involved in paediatric wheelchair prescription • Therapy assistants with a minimum of 12 months’ experience in their role • Students are welcome
