This course addresses complex power wheelchair programming using the Sunrise Medical powered wheelchair range with RNET control systems. The ‘PROG2’ foundation course is required to register on this course.
A day for hands-on practical use of the special control options available, providing an insight into where they will be used and how to program them for assessment and handover purposes.
This course is designed to boost your confidence in assessing for and prescribing highly configurable manual wheelchairs. Learn the key clinical concepts for effective manual mobility, and how to apply those to giving your clients the right technology. We will use evidence-based guidelines and case stories to complete a full prescription by the end of the course.
Learn the key concepts in assessment and prescribing powered wheelchairs to meet your clients needs for comfort and mobility. We will explore the physics of powered mobility, the fundamentals of powered seating and how to match technology to need. There will be hands-on adjustment and an introduction to the most common programming parameters.
This course will enable you to learn how to carry out an assessment of posture on a plinth or mat, identify critical range of movement in relation to seating, and introduce the Jay range of cushions and backrests.
This evidence-based clinical and product course focuses on the assessment and prescription of head supports. It includes a full review of the Whitmyer product range hands-on exercises using Whitmyer Head Supports and case stories.
