The JCM Star is a multi-functional supportive chair, ideal for children from 1 – 8 years. The Star’s versatile design makes it perfect for use both at home and in the classroom. The Star can be used directly on the floor for easy access to playtime activities, or with one of the base options for Tilt-in-Space functionality. Generous adjustment in the seat length and back height allows the Star to grow and develop with the child.

Adjustable as the child grows

The Star has generous built in levels of adjustment, allowing it to grow with the child. Available in 2 sizes, this adaptable chair features 75mm of height adjustment in each leg allowing for growth and also to accommodate variable table heights. The Star also has excellent seat length and back height adjustment, allowing it to further develop and adjust with the child.

Used with the base options, the Star offers 35° of Tilt-in-Space, providing numerous clinical benefits such as improved respiratory and digestive function, as well as helping to avoid pressure sores. From a basic seat which can be used directly on the floor for playtime, the Star can also be adapted for greater posture management with the addition of a range of supportive accessories. Flip away footplates allow for children who can stand from seated, as well as being great for shorter legs.  The Star’s large tray area facilitates play, learning or eating and the multi-adjustable arms enable the tray to stay horizontal even when the seat is tilted.

Base Options

Base Options

As well as being used independently, the Star can also be mounted onto the Star Multi-Base or Star 5 Star Base. Both of these have the advantage of 35° of Tilt-in-Space function. The Star Multi-Base has the advantage of lockable castors for greater stability, along with a lower seat to floor height, easily allowing the child to fit at the table with their peers. The Star 5 Star base benefits from a very compact design, taking up minimum floor space.
