The Quickie Salsa MND Neurochair has been developed in conjunction with the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association) to facilitate easy prescription and best value for MND clients and other similar conditions.

What is Motor Neurone Disease?
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order. Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life. For further information on the symptoms you may experience, please visit the MND Association website here.

The Quickie Salsa MND Neurochair has been developed to overcome the challenges faced by those suffering with the disease. With a multi-adjustable seating system, expandable special controls, easy transfers and the mid-wheel drive base, the Quickie Salsa MND powered wheelchair is intuitive to drive and the perfect combination of indoor manoeuvrability and outdoor performance.

The powered wheelchair that's intuitive to drive

The powered wheelchair that's intuitive to drive

When navigating a forward or rear-wheel powered wheelchair around the home, you must always take into account the 'swing' nature of the powerchair. The Quickie Salsa MND Neurochair, due to its
mid-wheel-drive and tighter turning circle, is more intuitive to drive as you don't need to consider additional space for swinging the powerchair around - ideal for those who may have difficulty driving a powered wheelchair or using switches/head controls.

All-wheel independent suspension

All-wheel independent suspension

The patented Quickie all-wheel independent suspension ensures shocks and bumps are absorbed when riding over obstacles. The result – the Salsa MND Neurochair gives the softest and smoothest ride on the market. Ensuring you are always kept comfortable in your powered wheelchair, the Quickie Salsa MND comes with JAY Comfort seating as standard.
