We’re excited to introduce the Sterling S50 Carbon - a new lightweight mobility scooter designed to make everyday travel simpler, more practical, and more enjoyable.
When developing the S50 Carbon, we focused on one of the most common challenges we hear from customers: weight and portability. While many folding scooters promise convenience, the reality is that lifting, storing, and transporting them can still be difficult. With its 100% carbon fibre frame and a lifting weight of just 13 kg (with the battery removed), the S50 Carbon has been designed to offer a genuinely manageable solution for everyday use.
Simplicity was also key to the design. The S50 Carbon features a straightforward two-step folding mechanism with no need for dismantling, allowing it to be quickly prepared for transport. Once folded, it can be lifted into a car boot or wheeled along using its integrated design, giving users flexibility depending on the situation.
Despite its lightweight construction, the S50 Carbon is built for more than just portability. With a range of up to 19 km, integrated LED lighting, and smooth, responsive handling, it is designed to perform confidently across a variety of everyday journeys — from short local trips to longer days out. Comfort has also been carefully considered, with a roomier foot platform, adjustable tiller, and supportive seating helping to create a more natural driving position.
The S50 Carbon builds on our experience with carbon fibre innovation, including the success of the Q50 R Carbon. By applying the same expertise and manufacturing approach, we’ve created a mobility scooter that combines lightweight design with the durability and reliability needed for everyday life.
The Sterling S50 Carbon is now available to view and try at selected dealerships across the UK. We encourage customers to experience it in person to fully appreciate how it fits into their daily routine.
