In the United States, 1105 Media’s Mobility Management has announced the winning companies in its Mobility Product Award 2022 program. The Mobility Product Award program was launched in 2019 to honor outstanding product and technology development by Complex Rehab Technology and mobility/accessibility manufacturers.

Sunrise Medical is excited to announce that the QUICKIE NITRUM Hybrid Active Rigid lightweight wheelchair and ZIPPIE Q300 M Mini have won awards.  Nitrum has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Red Dot award earlier this year. The dual tube Hybrid Frame offers the highest rigidity and strength, and the fixed Active Rigid option offers the lightest weight possible in a Nitrum configuration. The ZIPPIE Mini offers children the independence to safely explore with pediatric power seating on our most compact power wheelchair base.

“This year’s judges were impressed not only by the functionality of the winning entries but also by the innovation and evolution of many entries,” Mobility Management Executive Editor Laurie Watanabe said. “It’s wonderful to see engineers and manufacturers working so hard not just to meet the needs and goals of seating, mobility, and accessibility consumers, but also to anticipate their future  needs and goals, and to demonstrate how technology can improve quality of life and functional outcomes.”

The categories and award winners from Sunrise Medical include:

Product: Sunrise Medical QUICKIE NITRUM Hybrid & Active Rigid
Category: Wheelchairs, Manual: Ultralightweight
